Do I need the recording?

You can edit the subtitle file on its own. Add the matching recording when you want to check how the words line up with the sound.

What happens when I save a project?

Your edits can be reopened on this browser. The media itself is not saved, so you will need to choose that file again. Keep a downloaded copy of your finished subtitles.

Are all captions early or late?

If every line needs the same adjustment, shift the whole file instead of editing each time separately.
